With the winter weather upon us and snow covering the ground, there is some awareness needed around playground expectations. As we work in partnership to ensure our student’s safety please help us by emphasizing the following at home:

• All play structures are closed due to the slippery steel and frozen ground.
• No snow, in any form is to be thrown at other students or adults.
• Students are not to play on large steep hills created by the snow-plow – if the hill is taller than the adults, it is off limits.
• Students playing in the snow must be wearing snow pants – students choosing not to wear snow pants are to remain on the pavement area.
• No students are allowed to play on any ice patches created on the pavement or in the field– our custodian will salt all icy areas that are slippery where possible.

These expectations apply to before school, at Nutrition Breaks and after school.
